Refund and Cancellation Policy
Terms Governing Workshop Cancellations, Transfers, Refunds, Product Returns and Consumer Rights
Effective Date: 16 June 2026
Overview
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, transfers, refunds, returns and consumer guarantees are handled by The Crafted Image Academy.
By booking a workshop, purchasing a product, redeeming a gift voucher, or engaging with our services, you agree to this policy.
Workshop Bookings
Photography workshops involve venue planning, preparation, scheduling, and limited participant numbers.
For this reason, cancellation requests are handled according to the time remaining before the scheduled event.
Participant Cancellation Requests
More Than 14 Days Before the Event
Participants may request:
- Transfer to another available workshop date; or
- A credit toward a future workshop.
7–14 Days Before the Event
Participants may request:
- Transfer to another available workshop date where practical; or
- A workshop credit at the discretion of The Crafted Image Academy.
Less Than 7 Days Before the Event
Refunds, transfers and credits may not be available due to commitments already made for the event.
Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Unable to Attend
If you are unable to attend a workshop, please contact us as soon as possible.
While we will always attempt to assist where practical, refunds, transfers and credits cannot be guaranteed once an event is approaching.
Workshop Cancellation by The Crafted Image Academy
If a workshop is cancelled by The Crafted Image Academy due to weather, safety concerns, instructor illness, insufficient numbers, venue issues, or other circumstances beyond our control, participants will be offered:
- A transfer to a future workshop; or
- A full refund.
Weather Conditions
Many photography workshops are weather-dependent.
Workshops may proceed in varied weather conditions where the educational objectives can still be achieved.
Where conditions are considered unsafe or unsuitable, The Crafted Image Academy may postpone or cancel the event.
Participants will be notified as early as reasonably possible.
Product Returns
Physical products may be returned where required under Australian Consumer Law.
If you believe a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible after receiving the product.
Photographs and supporting information may be requested to assist with assessment.
Change of Mind Returns
Change-of-mind returns are generally not accepted unless otherwise agreed by The Crafted Image Academy.
Where a return is approved, products must be returned:
- Unused
- In original condition
- In original packaging where applicable
Return shipping costs may be the responsibility of the customer.
Damaged or Faulty Products
If a product arrives damaged or develops a fault covered by Australian Consumer Law, we will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy which may include:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund
depending on the circumstances and the requirements of Australian Consumer Law.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers:
- Are valid for the period stated on the voucher
- May be redeemed against eligible workshops, products or services
- Are transferable unless otherwise stated

Unused voucher balances remain available until the voucher expiry date.
