Sunset Photography Meetup
Sunset Photography Meetup
Join us for an unforgettable evening of Sunset Photography at one of the Hunter Coast’s most breathtaking locations — Birubi Point, Anna Bay. Known for its vast sand dunes, rugged rock formations, and sweeping ocean views, Birubi provides the perfect setting to capture the rich tones and drama of sunset.
As the sun sinks toward the horizon, you’ll learn how to interpret the changing light, compose for colour and balance, and create images that capture the unique mood of twilight. This relaxed, hands-on session blends practical instruction with creative exploration in one of the region’s most photogenic coastal environments.
You’ll learn how to:
- Work with golden hour and sunset light for warmth and atmosphere
- Compose scenes using leading lines, reflections, and silhouettes
- Adjust exposure and white balance for natural, vibrant tones
- Use graduated filters or bracketing to handle challenging light
- Refine timing and technique to capture the perfect moment as colours shift
- Apply creative long-exposure methods as dusk deepens
This is a relaxed, hands-on session perfect for photographers who want to build confidence in low-light and colour management while enjoying one of the region’s most photogenic coastal settings.
✨ No specialist equipment required — just bring your camera, tripod (if you have one), and a sense of adventure.
